Art is not just a visual experience. It is a way to express and experience emotions, culture, religion, and society. Art opens us to witness each other at our most vulnerable, raw, real, in a way that words cannot, in a way that can only be profoundly experienced through the kinesthetic engagement of art making and viewing. In my art, I leave a piece of myself each time. It would be a feeling, a sensation, a memory, a fleeting moment, or a profound sociological experience. Regardless, it is who I am, it is my journey, my bodies journey, my story.
