After 15 Years of Queer Love

This one is simple, in the current political climate it is painful and gut wrenching to be in a Queer body, to wonder if the body will be outlawed, murdered, discarded, in-prisoned. The fear is a palpable experience that permeates daily life in ways that cannot be described. As a result after 15 years my partner and I got our wedding ring tattooed on. This isn’t something we ever thought we would do but it was time to have something no one could take away, that is something happened to us, we would always have each other in a physical way that could ground us. That’s all there is to it, staying grounded in Queer love and joy in a world that would take us from each other.
